Dorsoduro es uno de los barrios (sestieri) mas pintorescos de la ciudad: hay muchos talleres artesanales, la universidad, palacios e iglesias. Aquí, fuera del tiempo se pueden descubrir callejuelas misteriosas, el último “squero” donde se fabrican a mano las góndolas, como se hace una “forcola”, como nace una máscara de carnaval, como se fabrican las cuentas de vidrio, ver un taller de pintura que usa técnicas del siglo XVIII. Es posible entrar al interior de la magnfica iglesia de la Salute, tomar una foto del Bacino de san Marcos, o simplemente un delicioso helado artesanal paseando por le Zattere, admirando la isla de la Giudecca.
